Health insurance is a commonly talked about topic in today’s world. It can be confusing because it is always changing, especially with the recent Affordable Care Act, also commonly referred to as “Obamacare.”

There are many misconceptions about the Affordable Care Act, especially regarding coverage through an employer’s group health insurance. If someone has health insurance with their employer they may not be eligible for coverage or a subsidy through the Affordable Care Act. This is because they are considered to have “affordable care” already. In addition, if one spouse has family coverage available through their employer, but their spouse chooses not to take the coverage because of a high cost, they are not eligible for a subsidy, because they did not take advantage of the opportunity to take the group coverage.

There are many regulations to the use of the Affordable Care Act and it can be confusing and frustrating. At the F.A.Peabody Company we have the resources you need!
