Our Hampden, Maine insurance office was formerly the Peter J. White agency before F.A. Peabody Insurance merged with and eventually acquired it in 1993. This established the agency’s 4th branch office location in the state. After Peter’s retirement, his son Ken White continues to manage the office as well as the entire sales department statewide.
Hampden enjoys the proximity to Bangor, Maine’s 3rd largest city, while maintaining a small town atmosphere. Despite Maine’s history of sprawling development patterns, Hampden has preserved its rural character, and protected its open space and rural landscapes, while accommodating well planned commercial and residential development.” F.A. “I founded the Standby to Fly Initiative, a non-profit organization that raises money to give to the most effective Veteran-assisting local organizations. Basically, we hold fundraisers and raise money to give it to the organizations who can make a difference with that money. In 2022, F.A. Peabody Insurance expanded into the Central Maine area thanks to the innovative thinking of Christine Huntress. Located in Palermo, the 11th branch office is central to the tri-city community of Belfast, Augusta, and Waterville. Christine brings over 35 years of experience after moving to Palermo from York in 2018. With a specialty in personal insurance, she fields new business opportunities and works closely with staff in Hampden’s well-established branch office. She says, “Each client is unique with different insurance needs and I welcome every challenge.
