Local business man and close friend to the F.A. Peabody family recently received the honor of having the Houlton High School soccer scoreboard dedicated to his memory.  Dan Tracy, owner of Aroostook Print Shop in Houlton, passed away in June 2011 after a long, courageous battle with cancer.  Dan’s wife, Karen Johnston Tracy,  is an agent with F.A. Peabody and being recognized this weekend for her 20 years with the company.  His daughter, Mikaelah is a senior athlete at HHS.  Dan was a member of the Houlton High School Class of 1980, and a good friend to FAPCO’s president, Chris Anderson.  He was very active in sports both as a student and a parent, and especially supported the soccer program.

On a personal note, I always enjoyed talking with Dan.  He was genuinely interested in what was going on in people’s lives, making sure to ask questions about them and their loved ones.  His impact on the community was great, and it’s nice to see his name on the field.
